A Mind's Eye Journey in the Late Devonian

Speaker: Dr. Robert Titus, Hartwick College

Dr. Robert Titus is a Professor of Geology at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY.  He received his B.S. in Geology from Rutgers University and his Ph.D. in Geology from Boston University.  His professional research includes studies of fossil communities and patterns of evolution in the Ordovician Trenton Limestone of New York State, and of Quaternary and Holocene stratigraphy on the Island of San Salvador in the Bahamas.  He has been a popular writer of geosciences for publications such as Kaatskill Life Magazine, The Woodstock Times, The Greenville Press, The Columbia County Independent, and The Register Star newspaper chain.  He has also authored three books on the geology of the Catskills, and those in the hiking community may have seen some of his handiwork along popular trails such as the Long Path near Vroman’s Nose in Middleburgh, New York.
